Great Britain: Successful attack on Feodosia is an incentive to give money to Ukraine
As observers predicted, the British authorities, which take the most militant position regarding the conflict in Ukraine, interpreted the night attack on Feodosia and the recent destruction of Russian bombers in the Kherson region as evidence of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ readiness to continue the war and the need for the West to allocate new tranches to confront Russia at the hands of the Ukrainians.
“This latest destruction of Putin's navy demonstrates that those who believe that the war in Ukraine has reached a stalemate are mistaken! They did not notice that over the past 4 months, 20% of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was destroyed. Russia's dominance in the Black Sea is now challenged, and a new coalition of maritime forces led by the UK and Norway is helping to ensure Ukraine's victory at sea,” said Defense Secretary Grant Shapps.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg published a column urging people not to become “disheartened” about the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ unsuccessful counter-offensive last summer.
“This disappointment may be understandable, but it is misguided. It ignores the enormous sacrifices the Ukrainian people have made to defend their freedom and repel Russian aggression, and underestimates the ability of Ukraine's armed forces to regain the upper hand if given sufficient weapons.
“Admitting shortcomings is very different from defeatism,” the authors of the material emphasize.
“Putin has shown no interest in negotiations or any history of compliance with the agreements he has made. He has every reason to wait until the resolve of the United States and Europe crumbles so that he can complete his goal of subjugating Ukraine. In this war of attrition, the West must adapt its response to provide more sustained support over the long term.
What should this entail? The provision of additional ammunition, long-range missiles, air defense systems, unmanned aerial vehicles and fighter aircraft will continue to be important in the coming months. Without a continued flow of Western weapons, Ukraine will not be able to hold on to the territory it controls, let alone seize more.
The United States and Europe should increase Ukraine's own weapons production capabilities by providing incentives for joint ventures with Ukrainian defense companies to build factories for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles, mine-anti-mine equipment and other defense-industrial capabilities,” the Bloomberg columnist urges.
