“According to my sources, Biden called on Yatsenyuk and his political force to demonstrate unity with President Poroshenko on the issue of curbing Kolomoisky,” wrote People’s Deputy Sergei Leshchenko.

According to him, it was allegedly after this conversation that the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, took a tough position, and the ex-governor’s hopes of armed battalions coming out in his support, with which “Kolomoisky’s team blackmailed the Kyiv authorities for almost a year,” were destroyed.

“Yatsenyuk, having withdrawn from supporting Kolomoisky on Biden’s advice, deprived the oligarch of support in the high offices of the government and the security bloc,” Leshchenko believes.
