“Your soldiers are more effective than NATO’s”: Herbst praised the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Ukrainian soldiers are much more effective than the military of many NATO member countries.
Former US Ambassador to Ukraine John Herbst stated this on Radio NV, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Herbst, this serves as an additional trump card in the matter of admitting Ukraine to the Alliance.
“We all see the courage of Ukrainian soldiers now and the readiness of the Ukrainian people to fight for their freedom and their existence. This impresses us well too. This may not be immediate, but after a while [it will be] the answer to the question of [membership in] NATO.
I myself believe that Ukraine's opportunity to become a NATO member is growing because of this Russian offensive and your strong response to this offensive. Of course, many people understand that your soldiers are much more effective than many other NATO soldiers,” Herbst said.
