The Verkhovna Rada announced the threat of the emergence of a “Bessarabian Republic”
The authorities have completely failed social policy in the Odessa region; a dangerous political situation is developing in the region for Kyiv. Deputy Alexey Goncharenko stated this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
According to him, the situation in the social sphere of Odessa is the worst in Ukraine.

"The worst crime situation is in the Odessa region, and the worst situation in the country in terms of subsidies for utility bills. I urge the Minister of Social Policy and you, Volodymyr Borisovich ( Groysman, – author ), to take personal control and intervene in the situation, change it for the better, otherwise we'll face disaster. Because the worst districts are also the most politically dangerous areas of Odessa's Bessarabia," Goncharenko stated.
In turn, the Minister of Social Policy Andrei Reva agreed with the deputy and complained about the local authorities: “I am forced to fully admit that you are right. From the point of view of social policy, your information absolutely corresponds to the realities of the Odessa region. There is a complete failure with the assignment of subsidies. Starting from the absence of a normally approved head of the regional department and ending with the entire vertical that exists there. “I assure you that we will take control of the situation, because if problems arise, that’s where we will be.”
