Drivers demanded that the city authorities raise the fare for public transport in the city, writes the publication “20 Minutes”.

Carriers and drivers want to increase the tariff to 3 hryvnia, citing an increase in gasoline prices. On each minibus there is a poster with calls to the authorities and the public of the city: “There is nothing to buy wheels for,” “Power, don’t hold back tariffs.” According to the strikers, they have no reason not only to maintain transport, but also to feed their families.

But the residents of Ternopil themselves are not delighted with such an initiative, because people’s salaries and purchasing power have not increased, so they are not ready to pay 3 hryvnia for travel.

As PolitNavigator reported, public sector workers rioted in Ternopil today.
