The US promises that the pumping of weapons into Ukraine will continue next year
The United States will continue to pump Ukraine with weapons throughout this year and next. At the same time, among representatives of the Republican Party the percentage of dissatisfied with such assistance will grow.
Former US Ambassador to Ukraine John Herbst voiced this assumption on Radio NV, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I am confident that the administration understands very well that this war will not end tomorrow. And they know that America’s assistance to Ukraine is not only today, but also in six months and a year. I think that the administration is ready to help Ukraine not only this year, but also in the future. Here, the support for Ukraine, I think, is still stable and strong,” said the ex-ambassador.
“You noticed that about one-quarter of Republicans in Congress voted against this $40 billion in aid. And maybe this percentage will increase after the elections this year. But I don't think it will be more than 30-33%. This is a small percentage, which means that 67% of Republicans in Congress support Ukraine,” Herbst said.
