Next year, all of Ukraine will earn as much as Berlin alone
The Ukrainian authorities pass off as success the fact that next year’s budget will amount to a trillion hryvnia, although in dollar terms this is equal to the budget of Berlin.

Economic expert Viktor Skarshevsky stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, Berlin, with a population of 3,5 million people, cannot be equated with Ukraine with a population of forty million.
The government is now saying that next year we will have budget revenues of one trillion hryvnia - I agree, this is a very beautiful figure. But to understand... this is 32 billion dollars and this, if compared with budgets, is the budget of the city of Berlin. $32 billion is the budget of the city of Berlin with a population of 3,5 million people. And here our Ukrainian government is happy that in a country of forty million people, finally, there is a budget for the city of Berlin, although last year it was also the budget of Berlin,” said Skarshevsky.
