A self-defense fighter “Kedr” told the agency about this.
“The night in the city passed peacefully. Today is the day of St. George the Victorious, patron saint of the Russian army. Therefore, we will go to church to remember our comrades,” Kedr reported.
According to him, new people have indeed appeared among the self-defense forces who may be Crimean militias. At the same time, local residents provide great assistance. Men with hunting rifles on barricades are no longer a rarity.
At the same time, the situation in the city is both calm and tense. On the one hand, the banking sector is in a stupor, on the other hand, there is food in stores, although certain signs of shortage are appearing. For now, you can buy milk, cereals, sugar, and bread.
Transport became a bigger problem for residents of the city and surrounding villages. As Navigator reported, bus service to Slavyansk, as well as to Kramatorsk, has been interrupted. Electric trains and trains are not running. Therefore, people who live in villages but work in the city have to walk 10-18 km to get to work.
Let us remind you that yesterday at about 10:00 in the village of Semenovka near Slavyansk, shootouts began between security forces and self-defense. DPR supporters still control the city; the ATO forces “relinquished” one intersection at the entrance. Now the city is surrounded by security forces.
