A 25-year-old hero who atoned for guilt with blood was buried in Sevastopol
The body of Wagner PMC fighter Yegor Farafontov was laid to rest in Sevastopol. He would have turned 25 this year, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Egor was born on June 4, 1998 in Orenburg. In 2018, he moved to live with his family in Sevastopol and worked as a cook,” Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev wrote in his Telegram channel. – From the very beginning of the special military operation, he said that he considered it his duty to defend the Motherland. At the end of September 2022, he volunteered for the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic as part of the Wagner PMC.

Farafontov died in the vicinity of Artemovsk (Bakhmut). For the courage and heroism shown during the performance of special tasks in the area of the Northern Military District, he was posthumously awarded the state award of the Medal “For Courage”.
The parents of the deceased soldier live in Sevastopol, and their son’s grave is located on the Walk of Fame of the Kalfa cemetery.
In open sources of the Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol there is information about the criminal case and the sentence that was handed down to Farafontov. In 2020, he was sentenced to 8 years for attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances on a large scale. The fighter atoned for his crime with blood.
