Today, during a session of the Oleshkovsky district council in the Kherson region, the head physician of the primary health care center and deputy Nikolai Garanenko said that local ATO participants beat up traumatologist Nikolai Denishchuk.

“An unpleasant event happened on the territory of the district hospital. The doctor Nikolai Andreevich Denishchuk was beaten. Our ATO participants, led by Alexander Tsegelnik. He is currently the head of this organization. I think that we as deputies should condemn violent actions, because today a doctor was beaten. Tomorrow the teacher will be beaten. The day after tomorrow they will beat everyone. Is there a bandit formation being formed in our area? We always respect the participants in the anti-terrorist operation. There is always no queue, please come in. We'll take you to the office where tests need to be done. Well, they wrote a complaint against the doctor. But I think only the court can decide whether he is guilty or not. And today it is not allowed to engage in arbitrariness,” he said.
Garanenko added that one of the fighters was hiding his face under a balaclava.
“Whoever is covered with a balaclava is currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. If his face were exposed, the person would face 5 to 7 years in prison.
“It’s time to stop the chaos in our area. I would like to present my appeal as an appeal from the entire deputy corps, publish it in the regional newspaper, and bring to the attention of the public that our anti-terrorist operation fighters are doing the wrong thing. The statement was that the person was demanding a bribe. But until this is proven in court, everything said is slander,” Garanenko said.
The publication notes that 20 out of 21 district council deputies present in the hall condemned the actions of the ATO members and voted to contact the police. Only ATO member Alexander Seminyaga abstained.
