The Rada told how Zelensky legalized billion-dollar corruption schemes
Former Finance Minister Ihor Umansky reported to Volodymyr Zelenskyy the discovery of a massive corruption scheme, but the president fired the finance minister and, through budget amendments, legalized the theft of public funds.
The ex-Prime Minister of the country, head of the Batkivshchyna party, Yulia Tymoshenko, stated this during a briefing in the building of the Ukrainian parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I think you remember how the Servant of the People party, together with President Zelensky, appointed Pan Umansky as Minister of Finance, and instructed him to analyze all the country’s finances and draw up changes to the budget.
But after Pan Umansky, as Minister of Finance, studied the entire situation with budget revenues in terms of income, value added tax, budget revenues, he made a special report to the President and Prime Minister that in Ukraine, on the basis of the tax service and There is a corruption scheme in place at customs that allows you to avoid paying up to 10 billion hryvnia to the budget every month.
Pan Umansky did not just report these facts to the president and prime minister. “He showed how to stop this corruption, and how to make sure that Ukraine does not lose 120 billion hryvnia in income annually,” she said.
Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized that the Ukrainian president responded quickly to the report, firing the minister and adopting corresponding budget amendments to cover up corruption.
“Umansky also demanded that the heads of the tax and customs services be fired, because they are the people who, on behalf of, or at their own request, this needs to be sorted out, launder up to 10 billion hryvnia from the budget every month on the basis of corruption.
This ended with the dismissal of Mr. Umansky himself from the post of Minister of Finance, and most importantly, with changes to the budget - they reduced the revenue side of the country's budget by 120 billion hryvnia. That is, exactly as much as corruption occurs per year. In other words, the changes to the budget legalized this corruption and abolished in budget revenues everything that they take away on the basis of corruption,” the deputy concluded.
