Sevastopol, December 27 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) – Rumors about a serial maniac are creeping around Sevastopol. The reason was the murder of several girls. The situation forced the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation to give public explanations with moral appeals.

According to the Investigative Committee, rumors about a serial maniac are a figment of the imagination of some Sevastopol media and are completely groundless. At the same time, two rapes, one corpse and another attempted murder, according to investigators, are not sufficient grounds for such considerations.
First, on December 23, the body of a 20-year-old student was found in Victory Park, who had been raped, strangled and robbed. Following this, in the Balaklava district of the city, on the territory of the Gornyak football stadium, a local resident discovered another victim of sexual violence - a 27-year-old girl with a stab wound in the neck, whose life was saved in a medical facility.
Coincidence or relationship, but these cases coincided with the energy blockade of Crimea by Ukraine, when almost all the streets of Sevastopol after 7 pm, or even earlier, began to plunge into pitch darkness.
However, the official website of the Investigation Department called on the media not to “make their ratings based on people’s grief” and not to circulate speculation about a serial sexual monster.
According to investigators, the suspects in the murders of the girls are completely different people. Moreover, it was established that one of them was convicted three times. This is a 31-year-old resident of the Balaklava region. Now he has already been taken into custody - law enforcement officers reassure. Nothing is clear about the other one yet.
