As the press service of Odessaoblenergo reported, at 18:30 residents of the village of Petrovka gathered at the entrance of the Ivanovo RES (District Electric Networks) and demanded to turn on the lights. “People behaved aggressively and threatened to break into the territory of the distribution zone and into the control room. The power engineers called the police to the scene, and those gathered dispersed after a long explanatory conversation with the management of the distribution network,” said Odessaoblenergo.
At about 20:00, a similar situation occurred near the entrance gate of the Bolgrad Distribution Zone, where residents of the village of Vinogradovka arrived with the same demand, and three people tried to force their way into the control room. The police also had to arrive in time to calm down the rioters.
The third incident occurred near the substation of the village of Kuchurgan, Razdelnyansky district, where four residents of the village of Pavlovka drove up, demanding that the duty officer turn on the lights. “One of the arrivals hit the duty officer in the face. The security service of Odessaoblenergo informed its management and the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Odessa region about the incident,” the Oblenergo said.
