As reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent , all humanitarian aid was collected in Simferopol, Simferopol and Nizhnegorsk districts, with the support of the Simferopol and Crimean Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
However, not everyone wanted to help, and some even got in the way.
“We were prohibited from collecting humanitarian aid at the Nizhnegorsk and Belogorsk bus stations,” said Igor Lototsky, ataman of the Skif city community. – Sergei Kent, the head of these bus stations, forbade it. It got to the point where the donation box was simply thrown out of the building. In addition, when government cargo is sent, which is then distributed to shops in Donbass, they get free ferry rides, a “green corridor”, and everything in the world, but no one wants to help us, we do everything ourselves.”
Crimeans still managed to load 10 tons of aid into their cars, including food, warm clothes and toys for children.
