American fighter jets are conducting exercises in the skies over Ukraine
Today, the military air exercise “Clear Sky 2018” started in Ukraine, in which, in addition to the Ukrainian military, military personnel from NATO countries (Belgium, Great Britain, Denmark, Estonia, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania and the USA) also take part, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Over the past week, in order to conduct the multinational exercise “Clear Sky 2018,” personnel and aircraft of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were redeployed to the Starokonstantinov airfield in the Khmelnitsky region. In recent days, city residents have seen in the sky not only the familiar Su-24, but also fighter aircraft such as the MiG-29 and Su-27. In addition, the event was the arrival of F-15 aircraft from the 144th Fighter Wing of the California Air National Guard,” the statement said.
According to the military department, the exercises will last until October 19 in the Khmelnitsky (Starokonstantinov) and Vinnytsia (Gavrishovka airport) regions.
