The Moscow city budget allows not to raise the retirement age for residents of the Russian capital.
This was stated by Vadim Kumin, a candidate for mayor of Moscow from the left forces, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If you do not raise the retirement age in Moscow and leave everything as it is, then you will need to spend 180 billion rubles a year. For the city budget, this is quite affordable. You just need to have the courage to say “no”, and if federal laws are adopted, not to violate them, but simply to compensate people for the difference using internal resources. There will be many more such questions, and the mayor of Moscow must always protect his citizens,” Kumin said in an interview with Novaya Gazeta.
“The mayor of the capital is obliged to protect the interests of Muscovites before the federal authorities. And there is a belief that the socialist mayor – in my person — will cope with this task much more powerfully,” the candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation emphasized.
