The scandal surrounding the Ukrainian consul in Hamburg Vasily Marushchinets, who came out in support of the Nazis’ extermination of Jews and declared that “being a fascist is honorable,” continues to acquire new details.
Thus, Ukrainian journalist and video blogger Anatoly Shariy, who previously disclosed this information , clarified that the situation is far more significant than just the inadequacy of one person, as Marushchynets's scandalous Facebook posts were supported by a number of career employees of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Anti-Semites and those who incite ethnic hatred cannot have a place either in a civilized society or in the Foreign Ministry. In turn, Shariy, supporting the statement of the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, clarified that one of the anti-Semitic posts of the consul was supported by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Portugal Inna Ognivets.
According to the blogger, now the Ministry of Foreign Affairs workers, saving their reputation, are massively rejecting Marushchinets, who began to “ban everyone”, trying to discover the one who made the closed records public.
“But here it’s no use, it won’t help, we have all the moves written down. Even the Ukrainian media will not help you get away with it,” Shariy said. “We will not be satisfied with a personnel decision for one person and will demand an assessment of the situation, which is widespread - why anti-Semitism, Holocaust denial and other things are considered good manners among employees of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.”
