The observation center in Yevpatoria has accepted the first seven suspected coronavirus cases who arrived from Egypt. Crimean Prime Minister Yuriy Gotsanyuk announced this at a meeting of the coronavirus prevention headquarters, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the official, the observatories in Yalta and Kerch are not yet ready.
“The observatory has already been launched, there are seven people there who arrived from Egypt, all of them are accommodated. As for the launch of the work of observatories in the cities of Yalta and Kerch, a final decision was made in Kerch regarding the facility where it will appear. During the day, the amount of funding will be clear, after which an application will be submitted to the Ministry of Finance in order to allocate funding next week. Regarding Yalta, we discussed the issue again with the head of the administration, Yalta is working, and by the end of the month it will be able to receive people,” Gotsanyuk said.
In total, 2414 people are under medical supervision in Crimea, according to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Igor Chemodanov. Those 14 people infected with coronavirus that were identified earlier are in satisfactory condition and are recovering.
At the same time, the head of Rospotrebnadzor for Crimea and Sevastopol, Natalya Penkovskaya, emphasized that the headquarters identified another 15 people who traveled on the Bellissima cruise ship, which already had infected people on board.
“71% of all cases are those who traveled on the Bellissima liner. The Ministry of Resorts and Tourism, thanks to the fact that they contacted the tour operator who sold trips to this liner on the territory of the Russian Federation, found that in addition to those we already have on the list, there are 15 people - residents of Crimea and Sevastopol, who also traveled on liner.
They are not listed on our arrival list. The Ministry of Internal Affairs quickly established their home addresses, and tomorrow I will probably be able to report on whether they violated the self-isolation regime and why they were not on the lists,” Penkovskaya said.
In total, there are 15 identified cases of coronavirus on the peninsula, five of them in Sevastopol, the rest in the Republic of Crimea.
