More than 100 thousand refugees have passed through the territory of Crimea since the beginning of the special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine.
About 3 remained in the region with relatives and friends, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the Vice Speaker of the Crimean Parliament Alla Ponomarenko, there are 376 refugees in temporary accommodation centers. The largest tent camp for 100 people is set up in Armyansk. From there, people are sent in groups by rail to permanent residence centers located in the Moscow region, Voronezh region, and the cities of Mineralnye Vody and Omsk. Of the 14 stationary temporary accommodation centers, 9 are operating today.
Employees of the Federal Migration Service work with refugees at checkpoints on the Russian-Ukrainian border, helping, among other things, to restore lost identification documents. In addition, in the cities of Armyansk and Dzhankoy there are mobile bank branches where, if they have a passport of a citizen of Ukraine and a migration card received at the checkpoint, refugees can exchange currency.
“You can also exchange hryvnia if a citizen has submitted documents to receive a one-time social benefit in the amount of 10 thousand rubles. There are already more than 10 thousand such applications, of which about two thousand people received social payments,” Ponomarenko clarified.
She added that at the federal level a decision was made on the employment of citizens who were forced to leave the territory of Ukraine, Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics. To do this, it is not necessary to issue a labor patent. The employer only needs to notify the Federal Migration Service about the new employee within three days.
Children are also admitted to schools and kindergartens with Ukrainian documents. 1159 refugees are studying in Crimean schools and another 99 have been accepted into preschool institutions.
