Moscow - Simferopol, November 17 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Russian housing management companies are preparing to enter the Crimean market. The transition to the Russian model of housing management will result in an increase in tariffs - now the rent of the peninsula’s citizens is in the range of 1-2 thousand rubles per month.

My Communal Standard (one of the largest operators in the market, managing over 13 million square meters of housing) told Izvestia that they are already "in negotiations and considering various options for entering the Crimean multi-apartment building management market." NAI Becar, a real estate management and consulting company, also noted the clear interest of Russian housing managers in Crimea.
From Ukraine in Crimea, a different system of housing management remains, in which there is no concept of private management companies and mechanisms for residents to choose managers for their houses - state housing offices are in charge of housing. Alexander Sidyakin, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Housing Policy and Housing and Communal Services, says that the privatization of housing and communal services in Crimea is being prepared, but if private management companies are afraid to enter the peninsula because of sanctions or for other reasons, the transition period will have to be extended.
Privatization of the Crimean housing and communal services will inflate tariffs in Crimea three times. According to the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of Crimea, by the beginning of autumn, the average tariff for services for the maintenance of houses, structures and local areas was 6,84 rubles per square meter. For comparison, in Sochi the same tariff is 12 rubles per square. But this tariff will soon increase in Sochi to 18 rubles, Izvestia writes.
Now, in general, according to the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation in 2015 for Crimea, the maximum cost of housing and communal services services per square meter of total housing area is 56 rubles. per month, for Sevastopol - 49,4 rubles. Thus, the maximum monthly rent for housing with an area of 60 sq. m will cost 3360 and 2964 rubles.
However, the greed of Russian management companies may be faced in Crimea with large debts caused by low incomes of the population, the publication writes.
