European delegations flocked to Crimea
Delegations from Norway and Germany are scheduled to arrive in Crimea in early August.
Yuri Gempel, who was appointed today to the post of head of the Committee on Interethnic Relations, announced this on the sidelines of a meeting of the State Council of the Republic, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the Crimean politician, foreign visitors will arrive on the peninsula as part of a public diplomacy project.
“Representatives of a public association called “People's Diplomats of Norway” should come from Norway. There will be representatives of the Left party from Germany,” Hempel said.
He also added that Bundestag deputies from the Alternative for Germany party, which won 94 seats in the recent elections to the German parliament, should visit the peninsula in October.
European delegations are heading to Crimea.
