It is reported by the press service of the Ministry.

Transport with cargo was sent to Crimea through the Armyansk international checkpoint from Marinka, Donetsk region, to the IP Elite Crimea, located in the village of Furmanovka, Bakhchisaray district. According to the documents presented, there were 9 tons of frozen pork lard on board, produced in Ukraine.

The accompanying documents did not contain information about the testing of raw materials for trichinosis, nor did it indicate that the pig products were produced in an area free from dangerous infectious animal diseases. There was also no declaration of quality compliance of the products with the norms and requirements of the current legislation.

“During the physical control of the cargo, it was established that the lard in the blocks was packed in plastic bags with a violation of the integrity of the packaging. Part of the cargo was marked by Ukrainian manufacturing plants - PP "YanTaS" of the Vinnitsa region and JV LLC "Niva Pereyaslavshchina" of the Kyiv region of Ukraine without a date of manufacture of the products. Some of the cargo had no markings at all,” the report says.

Due to gross violations of the norms and requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union, which require the mandatory presence in veterinary accompanying documents of certificates indicating the raw material zone and guarantees that slaughter animals were born and raised in areas free from African swine fever, a decision was made to ban the import of goods , the entire cargo of lard was returned to the territory of Ukraine.
