Special planes fly to Crimea
The cost of a flight to Crimea is almost twice as expensive as to Adler in the Caucasus or Antalya in Turkey.
Russian State Duma deputy from Sevastopol Dmitry Belik wrote about this on his Facebook.
“A flight to Adler in economy class costs 12-15 thousand rubles, to Turkish Antalya - plus or minus 16 thousand rubles, and tickets to Simferopol sell for up to 25 thousand rubles. I note that the journey to Simferopol takes 2,5 hours, and to Antalya – 3 hours. What causes the difference in price - there is different fuel in the tanks? Are there special planes flying to Crimea? Or are those who fly to the South Coast fed differently on board than those who plan to vacation on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea?” Belik asks.
He reports that last week he sent an appeal to Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Kozak and the head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia Igor Artemyev.
“Airlines raise prices during the hottest period of the tourist season, which in fact makes the government subsidy system ineffective. Thus, the process of tourism development in Crimea is seriously hampered, since Russian tourists do not have the opportunity to get to Crimea for affordable money,” Belik wrote.
