The largest university in Crimea conducted an exercise to evacuate students during an air raid raid
Crimean universities are conducting student and faculty evacuation drills in the event of an air raid siren. These are planned civil defense measures, which are taken more seriously in the medium-level response mode, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The training evacuation took place at the Tauride Academy of KFU. At the “air raid” signal, students and teachers go down to the basement.
“All personnel of the facility are required to evacuate to specially designated shelter areas at this facility,” explained Nikolai Sindov, head of the KFU Safe Operations Department. “There are three directions for evacuation to the basement.”
Before evacuation, specialists at universities conduct educational and methodological classes and explain the basic rules of behavior in response to civil defense signals.
“Training evacuations take place once a month and not only in case of an air raid alarm, but also in the event of a fire alarm and anti-terrorist training,” the first vice-rector of the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after A. Yakubova Angelika Luchinkina. “These are scheduled classes that train students and staff to quickly and safely evacuate.”
