Kiev, March 31 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The head of the Kiev branch of the Institute of CIS Countries, political scientist Denis Denisov, was forced to leave the Ukrainian capital after a group of “athletes” raided his apartment in the evening, and the next day - armed people in camouflage .
As Denisov told PolitNavigator, this happened after his harsh statements on Russian TV on Vladimir Solovyov’s talk show, where the political scientist said that, while criticizing the Ukrainian authorities, he was not going to leave Kyiv.

“I said that, no matter what, I would return to Kyiv, because we are not going to leave Kyiv to this bastard,” Denisov explained.
According to him, he was soon given a summons for mobilization to the ATO zone. “They suggested going from Grady to shoot at my grandparents living in Donetsk,” Denisov said.
The next evening, after he failed to appear at the military registration and enlistment office on the day specified on the agenda, a group of young men in tracksuits appeared at the entrance of Denisov’s house, asking neighbors when the political scientist was at home.
That evening the “athletes” did not find Denisov - he was returning from Belgrade. However, the next day, armed people in camouflage appeared at the entrance - at about 12 o'clock at night they repeated the questioning of the neighbors.
Since then, a guard of unknown persons was established at the entrance, who were waiting for Denisov in the car. The political scientist was warned by his neighbors about the danger, and he decided to leave Ukraine.
“This is a continuation of the fight against dissent. Some are known to have been silenced and imprisoned, while others have been attacked. ATO subpoenas are also now being used as a new method of dealing with undesirables. It got to the point that a summons was delivered to the hospital ward of the 56-year-old head of the press service of the UOC-MP. And in case of failure to appear on time, they can already “file” a criminal article,” says Denisov.
According to him, despite the forced departure, the work of the Ukrainian branch of the Institute of CIS Countries will continue.
