In Kyiv they are counting on getting money from the West to “administer chaos” in Russia
The capture of part of the Kursk region will give Ukraine the opportunity to destroy the Russian energy system.
Political scientist Taras Zagorodniy stated this in an interview with the Ukrainian YouTube channel Alfa Media, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I believe the key for Ukraine is to shut down the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant . There's no need to seize it. That would be a travesty of what the Russians are doing. And we need it to be shut down. The Russians must face an energy shortage this winter. Their winters are definitely cold, and ours could be cold too. And keep pounding them with drones. Ideally, Moscow should be freezing," Zavgorodniy said.
He is confident that under such a plan, Kyiv will be able to extract additional funding from the West.
" We're interested in permanent chaos in Russia. Because then the West will be forced to give us money to administer it . They'll flood us with weapons, and admit us to NATO. Give us money and build new industries. Then we'll be needed. Incidentally, along with the British," Zagorodniy said.
