Journalists and readers of the Vesti newspaper held a picket. Those gathered chanted “Hands off Vesti”, “Bring back our newspaper” and held slogans “Hands off the media!”, “People are waiting for Vesti”, “Vesti is our favorite newspaper”, “Bring back our newspaper”, “We are being silenced” " Some protesters demonstrated the latter by covering their mouths with duct tape.

Let us remind you that on May 22, a search was conducted in the Kiev office of the holding, which publishes the Vesti newspaper and the Reporter magazine. The reason for the search was the suspicion that the publications were financed by the oligarch Sergei Kurchenko, close to Viktor Yanukovych’s “Family”. According to another version, the holding is financed from Russia.
