Assistant to the Chairman of the State Border Service of Ukraine Oleg Slobodyan stated this on Channel 5.

“409,3 kilometers within the Donetsk and Lugansk regions are not under our control,” he said.

At the same time, Slobodyan noted that since August last year, representatives of the Ukrainian interdepartmental group have been on the territory of the Russian checkpoint “Donetsk”.

According to the official, Poroshenko set the border service the task of restoring control at the state border by the end of the year. However, the department understands that this task is impossible.

“Of course, not everything depends on the State Border Service, because this is a question of a different level, but we are making every effort to implement this point,” Slobodyan noted.
