“We are most concerned about the blockade. A real blockade, and not what they did in the Kerch Strait. It was not a blockade. Their actions fit into the law. They can stop and search ships,” Beleskov said.

The expert did not specify which blockade was meant, but added that ships not flying Ukrainian flags are coming from Odessa.

“In the event of a blockade, the Russians should only stop warships. Merchant ships must pass if they are carrying materials that can be used for military purposes,” Beleskov added.

As it became known today, the scenario of the Ukrainian-American exercise “Sea Breeze 2019” will include practicing actions to unblock the mouth of the Danube.
