In Kyiv they figured out how to explain the rapid growth of the population of Russian Crimea
Members of the Mejlis found an explanation for the growth of the population of Crimea, which is occurring contrary to the theses of Ukrainian propaganda about the powerless and hungry life on the peninsula.
People will move to Crimea, allegedly in order to specifically squeeze out the pro-Ukrainian population from there.
The deputy head of the Mejlis, banned in the Russian Federation for extremism, Akhtem Chiygoz, stated this on air on the UA: First TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to our estimates, we are talking about 800 thousand displaced. This is reflected in the change in the quantitative composition of large cities, and it is visible. This is not the first stimulation, squeezing out of the indigenous and local population. This is an import,” Chiygoz said.
“In Crimea there are various programs, including lifting ones, when payments are made for the purchase of a plot and construction of a house. When military camps are built for military families, dozens of them have appeared in our border areas over the past few years. When the local population, teachers and doctors, are forced out of schools in order to employ newcomers there. This is organized resettlement,” the Mejlis member was indignant.
