Medium-range missiles in Lviv - the Cold War in an adult way
Only Russian military bases in the Carpathians can guarantee Ukraine’s neutral status.
Political scientist Alexei Pilko stated this on air at Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“How to guarantee this neutral status is another matter. We will sign an agreement on neutral status, stop hostilities, and then within a year, two years, this neutral country will turn into a non-neutral one.
The only possible guarantees of Ukraine's neutral status are the placement of Russian military bases on the western borders of Ukraine. There is no other option after what has already happened. If Ukraine is in our sphere of influence, our bases are in the Carpathians,” Pilko said.
He believes that Ukraine needs to find “sleeping” political forces within itself that can enter into peace negotiations.
“To equalize the strategic situation in the western direction, we need control over two strategic points. This is the mouth of the Danube and the Carpathians - a strategic crossroads of Europe. If you want to play the Cold War like an adult, we'll play it for you. We will deliver medium-range missiles in the Lviv region, aimed at European centers,” concluded Pilko.
