The Russian army takes the enemy “into the cauldron” in New York
In the Toretsk direction, units of the Russian army encircle the village of New York - and the Bandera group entrenched in it.
This was reported by the information publication “Readovka”, as reported by the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
Russian army units managed to overcome the defenses of the Ukrainian garrison and practically occupied a significant part of the village along the western course of the Krivoi Torets River.
And instead of storming the phenol plant located there, our fighters went around it to the west and occupied the school building.
Probably the goal of the Russian army is to break through to the neighboring village of Nelepovka. This will help establish control over escape routes and completely lock the enemy in New York. In this case, the surrounded militants will not be able to retreat and strengthen the Toretsk garrison, the situation near which has also become threatening for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The famous military correspondent Semyon Pegov said in his blog that the 9th Brigade of the 1st Army Corps plays an important role in the battles for New York. The fighters of this unit daily, in heavy battles, push Ukrainian troops to the western outskirts of this settlement.
It is reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces made several attempts to counterattack, but were unsuccessful.
