“In the lustration law No. 4359a, which was adopted on September 16, many amendments were made - about 440 - as a result of which people like Lyovochkin, Miroshnichenko, Bogomolets, Azarov are no longer subject to lustration. Those who were and remain with Yanukovych’s “Family” continue to occupy seats in the Verkhovna Rada and in power. Those who supported the previous government now support the current one. This worries us. People are beginning to think that in fact the old government remains. We need to kick out everyone who was associated with the old government,” one of the activists, who refused to give his last name, told a Navigator correspondent.
The protesters wore masks with photographs of Sergei Lyovochkin, the former head of the Presidential Administration under Yanukovych. In their opinion, it was his people who were involved in the adoption of the amendments.
Activists brought a symbolic golden loaf under the Verkhovna Rada building and left it on the square.
