Instead of a concert, the ballet “Giselle” will take place.
Denis Matsuev regrets what happened: “I am sad to know that in my mother’s homeland, in the city where the competition that I organized was held, similar things are happening. I can't understand it. But I know: no one will be able to quarrel between us.”
The National Opera of Ukraine says that they were not the organizers of the concert and do not know why it was cancelled.
Earlier, Denis Matsuev signed a letter from Russian cultural figures in support of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s actions in Crimea.
