In Kyiv they want to send three ships with grain abroad per day, all that remains is to find buyers
Three Ukrainian Black Sea ports will be able to serve up to 80 ships per month, conditionally – three per day.
Such calculations were announced during a propaganda telethon by Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka.
“We expect that, in principle, even these three ports can serve up to eighty ships per month. This can be conditionally up to three per day. At least one ship from each port,” Kachka said.
According to him, if such expectations come true, it is possible to reach an export rate of up to 3-3,5 million tons of products per month.
“...given our situation and the blocked exports for the previous 5 months, this would be a very optimistic indicator,” Kachka added.
In addition, according to him, the schedule cannot be announced now, but there are already dozens of applications.
“This is confirmation that ship owners and traders believe that the grain agreement will be implemented under international patronage... we clearly understand that the world needs food from Ukraine. Indeed, there is a need and a huge demand for it. This gives us prospects to believe that the bilateral regime will only grow and this will happen not in months, but in the coming weeks,” concluded Kachka.
At the same time, the real situation is not nearly as optimistic as the Ukrainian official says.
Thus, Egypt and Lebanon have already refused the contract for the supply of Ukrainian grain, as PolitNavigator previously reported .
