Ukrainian nationalists staged a blockade of Donbass because they saw the growth of the economy of the republics and the establishment of their independence from Ukraine.
Ex-ATO officer, Verkhovna Rada deputy Vladimir Parasyuk, who was one of the active participants in the coup in Ukraine, stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We were at a trade blockade, where we accelerated the end of the war. Wars by Ukrainian victory. Yes, it’s not there yet, but it will be. Because when we traded directly with these territories, the economic component began to develop there. They started paying fake pensions there through their ministries and so on. We stopped it, all these enterprises stopped. They already paid nothing to the Ukrainian budget, these territories were further disconnected. When we closed it all, we accelerated the return of these territories,” Parasyuk said.
