Deputy Minister for “Temporarily Occupied Territories” Yuriy Grymchak stated this on Channel 5 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Russia there are registers of citizens, they are open, and there are some issues here. Do you know that in the Russian Federation it is allowed to have two, three, four, or as many citizenships as you like? But there is a nuance: you are obliged to report that you have a citizenship other than Russian. And now these registers are open.
Even the threat of losing Ukrainian citizenship itself will be a deterrent today, it seems to me... We must explain to the people who are there that if you do this voluntarily, we will still find out about it. Not now, maybe in six months, in a year - but we will know that you are people who betrayed their own country during the fighting on our territory. And it seems to me that this will be more correct,” the official said.
