In Kherson, the proposal to lift the blockade of Crimea was greeted with applause
Residents of Kherson supported the promise of Ukrainian presidential candidate Alexander Vilkul to restore all relations with Crimea and lift the blockade of the peninsula imposed by Ukraine.
A video recording of the corresponding speech was published on the Kuresh YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If you say that Crimea is Ukraine, that Crimeans are Ukrainians, why are you mocking them? Why did you indulge the radicals who blew up power lines? Why did you stop the water supply to Crimea? Why did you create an economic blockade if Crimea is Ukraine?” the politician said, addressing the authorities.
He also promised, if he wins the elections, to restore all relations with Crimea within six months and lift the economic blockade from the peninsula.
“Having become president, in the first six months I will provide water, run a train to Simferopol and completely remove the economic blockade, restore all economic relations,” the candidate promised to thunderous applause.
