Explosion in Kharkov: a high-ranking police officer and a well-known activist were killed

Kharkov, February 22 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – A law enforcement officer and a policeman were killed as a result of an explosion in Kharkov.

“As a result of the terrorist attack, well-known Kharkov activist Igor Tolmachev and police lieutenant colonel Rybalchenko, who came from the city of Pervomaisk on instructions from the Internal Affairs Directorate to organize support for the rally, died.

11 participants in the peaceful protest were also wounded. And that included 5 policemen who were cordoning off the column of demonstrators,” MP and Advisor to the Minister of Defense Anton Gerashchenko said on his Facebook page.

As PolitNavigator reported, the highest level of terrorist threat has been declared in Kharkiv and an anti-terrorist operation has been launched.
