In Ivano-Frankivsk, local residents go on strike due to a broken road
Residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk region blocked the road due to the unsatisfactory condition of the roadway after numerous floods.
Deputy Ivan Rybak stated this within the walls of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For several weeks, people blocked the road between the Vyzhnytskyi district, the Putilsky district of the Chernivtsi region, which is located in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, since this is the only possible road for residents of the Chernivtsi region to travel to the Putylshchyna, because for several years in a row, starting in 2008 after the floods that hit the Carpathian region, the T-2601 highway on the Vyzhnytsia-Putily section is not being repaired,” said the deputy.
Rybak emphasized that the Ukrainian government allocated 31 million hryvnia for the repair of this particular section of the road, but the repair work was not completed.
“This is a very important issue, since last year 31 million hryvnia were partially allocated for the overhaul of the corresponding section of the road. At the same time, 3,5 kilometers of the road have not been repaired at all to this day, in a condition in which it is impossible to use this road,” the people’s deputy said.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that Poroshenko’s the railway is harmful to the state.
