The State Duma believes that Russia should withdraw from the WTO
Western countries will appeal to the World Trade Organization after Russia introduces counter-sanctions.
The leader of the A Just Russia party, Sergei Mironov, announced this today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
“Now is the time to think about whether we can set a precedent and leave this organization. America is absolutely not guided by WTO rules when introducing sanctions, and now they will start beating us for violating them,” Mironov said.
He also proposed to stop investing budget money in American securities.
“If we have already taken out the sanctions ax, then let’s remember that the money of the National Welfare Fund is stored in American securities. It probably makes sense for us, the legislators, to introduce a ban on placing our money by purchasing American securities. It turns out that we are lending to the US economy,” Mironov said.
