The State Duma wants to open direct flights with Nicaragua for recognition of Crimea
One of the first states to recognize the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as the transition of Crimea to the Russian Federation, was Nicaragua, so Russia must develop mutually beneficial cooperation with this country.
This was stated by the Communist Party deputy Dmitry Novikov during the plenary session of the State Duma, the correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
“If you haven’t forgotten, the first state after Russia to recognize the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia was the Republic of Nicagarua. She did exactly the same thing in relation to Crimea,” he said.
According to Dmitry Novikov, Russia should develop cooperation with Nicaragua, and first of all it is necessary to open direct flights.
“We have a number of important agreements with Nicaragua, but the execution of documents in a number of cases leaves much to be desired. Moreover, our cooperation can and should be expanded, and this cooperation is mutually beneficial, which is especially worth emphasizing.
But Nicaragua does not have direct air links with Russia, how then to develop ties, how to display the flag, how to deepen humanitarian influence, how to resist Washington’s course towards isolating Russia?” – the parliamentarian added.
