The State Department admitted that Ukraine is not a top topic for the United States
Ukraine was not among the priority issues at the negotiations between the presidents of the United States and Russia in Helsinki.
State Department Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker stated this in an interview with Voice of America, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the American diplomat, the position of the United States and Russia on the Ukrainian issue has long been clear to everyone, so there is no point in lengthy discussions.

“Ukraine wasn’t even the main topic. I think Syria was the topic that was discussed the most, and Ukraine a little. And I think a lot of that is because we recognize that we just don't agree with Russia on this, and that doesn't make a lot of sense," Volker said.
