The General Staff of Ukraine promises to stop window dressing, fraud and double standards
Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Ruslan Khomchak stated that personnel changes will definitely occur and promised not to delay them, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There will be personnel changes. Once I complete the hearing, once I accept the position, there is a process for accepting the position, I accept the position, give proposals to the Minister of Defense and the category, which is appointed by the President of Ukraine. I think that there will be no delays in making personnel decisions,” Khomchak said on Thursday on the TV channel
“The only thing I can say is that not a single personnel decision will be made emotionally or in those approaches, whether I like something or not. No personal relationships, only an assessment of the results of activities, the result of the state of affairs in the area of responsibility for which they are responsible, and after making a decision,” Khomchak emphasized.
The newly appointed Chief of the General Staff of Ukraine also called the life and health of the personnel of the Armed Forces the main task and called for an end to “sheer window dressing and wishful thinking.”
“Our most important task is to preserve the life and health of personnel. It must be the basis of all management decisions both in the area of the joint forces operation and beyond. The greatest value is a person,” Khomchak said later during his presentation to the personnel.
He also called for “an end to the principles of manual control in the activities of officials of the Armed Forces of Ukraine..., double standards, substitution of concepts, fraud, sheer window dressing and wishful thinking.”
Zelensky appointed Khomchak to the post on Tuesday.
