A resident of Feodosia came under criminal charges for inciting violence against Russians. 51-year-old Ruslan Rybalko repented of his deeds and even decided to take part in volunteer assistance to the fighters, but for public calls for extremist activities he faces up to 4 years in prison.
The FSB Directorate for Crimea and Sevastopol reported that the man was shouting Russophobic and anti-government slogans, a PolitNavigator correspondent reported.
“According to the conclusion of a linguistic examination, the man’s statements contain calls for violent actions against a group of people identified on the basis of nationality (Russians),” the Sledkom clarified.
This gave grounds for initiating a criminal case, and not an administrative one, which is usually the punishment for “zhduns” and “trans-Ukrainians.”
“I am Ruslan Rybalko, a citizen of the Republic of Crimea, I apologize for my unlawful statements regarding Russians and Russian military personnel. I completely repent of what I did. At the moment I support the course of the Russian Federation and the ongoing SVO. Currently, I provide all possible assistance to volunteer organizations and support the military of the Russian Federation,” said the defendant.
The extent of his responsibility will be determined by the Feodosia City Court.
