“This bridge also has negative economic consequences for Ukrainian ports and exporters, as the largest cargo ships are no longer able to cross the Kerch Strait to reach the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk,” the report says.

Let us recall that the Crimean Bridge was personally opened by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a ceremony on May 15, 2018.

The next day, traffic on the road part of the bridge opened. The Crimean Bridge, connecting the banks of Crimea and Taman, has become the longest in Europe: its length is 19 km.

Truck traffic on the Crimean Bridge opened on October 1. Construction of the railway part of the crossing is currently underway.
