The EU advises Zelensky to prepare to escape – American colonel
The interest of Western leaders in Ukraine has fallen sharply, so it’s time for Vladimir Zelensky to prepare for losing his post as president and fleeing the country.
Retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor, a planner of a number of major campaigns, said this on the Internet channel “Finance Critics,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I think he's going to fight to the end. Who knows what fate awaits him.
There's a damn good chance he might not last in office. He angered and offended millions of Ukrainians and led them down the path to complete disaster. This usually ends badly for the leader. Of course, he has planned escape routes to places where he still has bank accounts and a home.
But you know, this war is over. If you need proof of this, look at the fight over the budget. Everyone who advocated war with Russia in Ukraine is now pushing Israel to war with the whole world in the Gaza Strip.
So basically we just took the same chorus and took it to another theater. They perform the same tunes, hoping for a better result. But I don’t think the result will be good in any case,” the colonel said.
McGregor stressed that European leaders are already secretly telling Zelensky that it’s all over and it’s time for him to think about leaving.
“All thoughts about turning Ukraine into the equivalent of Napoleon’s Spanish ulcer for Russia have disappeared. I don’t think anyone else hopes for this, and I don’t see that Europe wants this,” he added.
