According to the DTEK press service, unknown people mined the substation, which is located on the territory of the Tochmash plant: the substation is now operating without personnel.
“In the event of an explosion and damage to equipment, residents and urban infrastructure facilities of part of the Kievsky district of Donetsk, a substation of the Donetsk railway, the Tochmash plant and Donetsk Prokofiev Airport will be left without electricity,” the message said.
It was previously reported that due to hostilities on the night of July 22, part of Gorlovka, Donetsk region, was without power. The explosion destroyed two substations - 110 kV Glubokaya and 35 kV Kochegarka, which supplied voltage to the population in the central region of the city and nearby villages.
On July 23, a team of power engineers from DTEK Donetskoblenergo practically restored electricity in the city, as well as in the village of Maisky.
Due to the fighting in the Donetsk region, 46 settlements in the Slavyansky, Krasnolimansky, Shakhtarsky, Maryinsky, Avdeevsky, Amvrosievsky, Konstantinovsky, Yasinovatsky and Artemovsky districts remain without electricity.
As Navigator reported, power outages lead to problems with water supply not only in residential areas, but also in industrial enterprises. Given the large number of chemical industries, the lack or absence of water can lead to environmental disaster.
