Donetsk, June 01 (Navigator, Mikhail Shalyapin) – There is a rush at the train stations in Donetsk: at the moment, what is happening in the city can be described in one word – evacuation.

There are constant queues at the railway ticket offices, the railway station is crowded with people leaving, residents leaving mainly with children. Tickets have been sold three to four days in advance to almost all destinations except Kharkov and Lviv.
Passengers whose trains depart in the evening try to arrive 4-5 hours before departure. In the waiting rooms and in the lobby of the station there are mainly women and children. Despite the large number of people and their desire to leave the city, everything looks organized and disciplined. All station services operate without failures, and in general everything goes smoothly.
The situation is similar at bus stations with intercity traffic. Employees of carrier operators advise purchasing tickets for the 5th or 6th today. A large number of foreign students, mainly from African and Middle Eastern countries, have been observed hastily leaving the city.
The most popular direction is Donetsk-Kyiv. All tickets for this route are sold out until June 4 inclusive.
As Navigator reported, on May 26, the active phase of the ATO began in Donetsk with the use of airplanes and helicopters.
