In Donetsk, on Republic Day, a festive procession of thousands of representatives of cities and regions and public organizations took place.

The event was attended, in addition to the head of state Denis Pushilin, also by guests from other states - President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov, Head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik, First Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Russian Federation, Secretary of the General Council of the United Russia party Andrei Turchak, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Andrei Kozenko, Kazbek Taisaev, Dmitry Sablin, Alexander Karelin, Alexey Zhuravlev, Viktor Vodolatsky, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Sergei Pustovalov and others.
The procession was opened by representatives of motorcycle clubs and free motorcyclists of Donbass. They were already followed by officials and deputies of the DPR, activists and members of public organizations, as well as residents and guests of the republic.
“The Donetsk People's Republic arose as a response to the destruction of the Russian language, culture and historical memory of the Russian people in Ukraine. This was the natural response of Donbass to the anti-Russian anti-constitutional coup.

The path to peace is never easy. But Donbass showed everyone what it means to be true to your history, what it means to be worthy of your glorious grandfathers and great-grandfathers. Donbass has become a symbol of the Russian world, a symbol of protecting the people’s right to their language, their faith and their freedom.
Today in Donetsk there was a festive procession of all cities and regions dedicated to Republic Day. Such unity is a symbol of a free and peaceful Donbass. Hardworking, talented and brave people live here,” Turchak addressed the audience.
According to local media, about 45 thousand people took part in the celebration, despite the rain and strong wind.
